lost without my mom

I was an only child. my mom was everything. Shes been gone almost 4yrs my world changed forever on OCTOBER 7 2006. i still find it hard when something good happens and cant tell her I started showing my driving pony and i know she would have loved to be there with me after every show, its hard because shes not here. i live my life the way she would want me to she wouldn't want me to be sad I am but i cry and work through it.

only child I care and you are not alone

I too am an only child and I had a very close and like you had a caring relationship with my mom.
It is my experience that it is a connection that is different from that of people who have siblings. In many ways it is a deeper bond so when we lose our mom it feels enormous.

If it is any consolation I have an expression that "all that we love so deeply becomes a permanent part of who we are." Your mom will always be a your guide and mentor whether you can physically see her or not... She is with you in spirit - yet I can appreciate your desire to have her affirmation continue.

My mom has Alzheimer's and is dying now and I have been watching her die slowly day by day. - but I believe that in her heart my love imprinted and she will always carry memories of me with her. She will always be proud because you are hers.
Take consolation that You have been and always will be her One and Only... and know there are other Only Children out there who care about you and and offer you love .

I hug you when you miss me, I miss you too. I am there that little thread of hope and pride. Love has no boundaries. I am with you always...
