Managing multiple life changing events all at the same time.

by Devin
(California)

My beloved weimaraner was completely consumed with cancerous tumors. I spent thousands of dollars on removing them. They just took over my dog. He passed away in the spring of 2010.

Fall 2010 my sister lost her 5 year battle with sarcoma cancer. Her and I had a stormy relationship. It was very intense. We were very close at some points and very estranged at other times.

Six month's after my sisters passing, my husband of 10 years served me with divorce papers. Jan. 2011
I am/was a stay at home mom to a 3 and 7 year old for 5 years prior to this event.
My family has spent over 10,000. on a divorce so far that is still pending. My x-spouse is trying to obtain full custody of my children and going to great lengths in an attempt to prove I'm an unfit mother.

The sibling weimaraner had to be put down a week before we moved out of the house 10/2011. The tumors took over him as well.

The beautiful 2 story home sold recently. All of my material belongings are stored. The kids and I moved into a small ranch basement that my folks and disabled brother also live in. We split parenting time.

Attempting to manage the loss of a pet, death of a sibling, a divorce, getting back into the workforce, the financial burden, and the loss of another pet; is proving impossible.

Counseling does not seem helpful. Thought I would try writing.
