Mary Lou (Gilliam) Wessells 65

by Sarah Kerwin
(Newport News VA)

Lou, as she was known, lost her battle with cancer on Monday, August 2nd 2010. She was my mother in law and I loved and respected her very much. I miss her so much and I can't believe she is gone. I feel like we were robbed of her much too soon!

I have a son, the only grandbaby, and she truly adored him. She was the perfect grandmother to him. I will always tell him her stories and make sure he knows how lucky he was to have a woman like Lou as his LuLu.

I have decided to live my life from now on as she lived her life. I will cook her recipes and clean the same way she did. She was so good at everything she did. She was the best cook, the best mother, the best wife, and the best friend. She did it all without batting an eye. From the moment she got up until the moment she went to bed she was, in my eyes, perfect.

So here's to you LuLu.... I love you and I miss you. Life will never be the same without you.

I am so sorry for your loss. You were very blessed to have such a wonderful mother-in-law. The ones we love live on as long as we remember them. Sounds like you plan to make sure LuLu is remembered.
