In November 2005, I received the most horrible phone call. Your son has been injured. The army humvee ran over a land mine. All soldiers involved are gravely injured. With 2nd and 3rd degree burns, if they could be stablized, the soldiers would go to Brooks Army Medical in Texas. Well Matt made it and we spent 5 mos. in the ICU. Why did he have to suffer for so long?. Why do I now (3 years later) still feel I have no purpose? He was my first born baby, my sunshine. My hopes and dreams for your future.
