Max - my darling

(Sydney, Australia)

I lost my darling Max two days ago. My soul has been ripped apart by a stranger's carelessness. I'm left behind while someone is going about their day without the knowledge that they've destroyed my darling cat and myself.

I love you
by: Geoffrey Campbell

As soon as I read your letter about Max, I felt love in my heart for you and for Max. I too lost my precious Pansy to a careless driver. However I while driving one dark night, on a country road took the life of a precious soul. I immediately pulled over, and cried so hard. The years have passed, and now I will not drive any vehicle, but travel by bike or walking. I was a careful driver, and slowed down when seeing an animal near the road, even helping turtles across, but that night I never saw the dear soul, and it forever changed my life. I will never drive again, and I take rage at any vehicle going at high speeds, even raising my fist and yelling at them. As I walk along the roads, I cry every time I come across them, and vow never to drive again. Thank you for sharing about your beautiful Max, it only confirms my resolve to never drive again.

Don't you just hate it
by: Veronica

I'm sorry for your loss of Max. I too have suffered from someone elses carelessness and my world will never be the same. I have been thinking that animal owners should start a worldwide petition to hold people legally accountable for hitting and injuring animals with their cars. Maybe then they'll think about speeding or not paying attention because it hurts so much when we lose our loved ones. I make it thru the day by keeping my little Snow Snow's picture with me at all times but even though its been 22 weeks since she died I can't get thru the day without a breakdown. I hope you have wonderful memories of Max and pictures of him that you can keep with you as well.

I hope that Max and Snow Snow are waiting for both of us on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

Take care of yourself.
