Maybe Next Week

My life is so lonely
I miss you so much
Your laughter, your simle
Your delicate touch

It all seems so pointless
Without you to share
So little to live for
With no one to care

My heart is so heavy
The sadness I feel
I struggle each day
The pain is so real

Like a torch in the darkness
Our lives so entwined
Without you to guide me
I'm suddenly blind

Sunrise each day
Where do I start
We were always together
Never apart

But now it's just me
A new trail to blaze
Looking for purpose
I'm lost in a daze

A reason to live
Is all that I seek
Past the tears and the sadness

this poem speaks to me in so many ways. This Christmas will be2 years since I lost my husband The coming of fall and holiday time is especially difficult for me. Realizing that it is "just me" is the hardest part. Thank you for this beautiful poem. May your journey get a little easier.

This is such a beautiful poem.It tells it like it is.We don't know how long it will be until we can go on with life again.I feel so alone. My darling has been gone for 16 months now. This poem really says what I feel. I fight each day to come out of this fog.I send my love and prayers to you.GOD bless you and give you strength.

Dear Steven, I have just returned from the shops to an empty house without my soul mate welcoming me so your poem really touched me. It made me realise I am not alone in my terrible pain.
I hope our suffering gets a little easier.
