MIdnight

Midnight when I met you, you were so unsure of me. You gave me the cold shoulder when I would come visit your dad. I decided to win you over and make friends with you. Slowly over the months and years you warmed up to me, you came to accept me as a permanent fixture in your home and life. I will miss you sleeping on my hip, nuzzling my wet hair after a shower, and licking my pizza for the basil. You were the first cat I loved, and my heart is breaking knowing I will never see you again. You were like an adopted daughter to me. You even forgave me when I brought home a new little kitten. I will miss watching you follow your Dad around. Hearing you call for a playmate with your guitar string. May you be at peace now. I love you and I miss you.
