I am a 12 year old girl who lost her nana a year ago
It is coming up to her death anaversary and i am taking
A day of school and going into the middle of a wood
With my parents and we are going to let sky laterns
Go in her memory.
I wrote her poems and songs talkef about her in public
But i always remember her and cry for hours
Has any one got a way that i may be able to try and
Have an easier way of greeving without forgetting
Her??
Thanks xx

Grief is difficult
by: Anonymous

I'm so sorry you lost your nana. I lost my grandma 5 weeks ago and I can tell you it hurts a lot. I've tried to find ways to cope with grief but nothing has worked. I've started a grief journal so every night before I go to bed I write about how I'm feeling I don't know if this will help you. I also made a scrapbook of photos of my grandma and I so you could make one. It will get easier hun, stay strong xx

Georgia I am sorry for your loss of your nana. You asked if anyone knows of an easier way of grieving.
You could try and keep a NANA Journal. Write in this book at least once a day. As if you are talking to her. Ask her questions? You may get a thought as an answer that will comfort you. Write letters to her, or chat as if she was with you. Tell her what she meant to you and how you miss her so very much. HONOUR her in any way you can. You will have this MEMORY BOOK forever. I found this a very therapeutic way to cope with LOSS. ANY LOSS. It can't hurt, but it could help you.
We all grieve in different ways and at different times. But it is always PAINFUL. We can't avoid this. If you didn't LOVE so much. YOU WOULDN'T HURT SO MUCH. So the more you hurt is the more you LOVED. This won't last forever. Everything has a season. Our HEALING comes our of our GRIEF.
