Mom passed when I was 11

by Jenny

When I was 8, my mom was diagnoised with breast cancer and she died when I was 11. I am now 15 and I still can't get over the death of my mom. My dad has been dating a woman for 2 years and I sti can't come to grips with it. I want to get on with my life but I hate knowing that my mom will never be there with me. Can someone please give me advise on what to do??? I talked to my dad and all he told me was that I need to move on with life. But I don't know how so can someone please help me??? Thanks

My heart goes out to you. I am 43 and just lost my mother a month ago. It doesn't seem real, but I know it is. We use to talk a lot on the phone. I keep wanting to call her to tell her things that are going on in my life. It's very hard for me to know that I will not be able to see or talk to her, but I have to keep going. My daughter is 17 so she needs me. I can tell you, your mom would want you to live your life to the fullest. Make her proud by doing the things she knew you loved. She is always with you! My prayers are with you!

Hard, very hard. My Mom passed last september. Its'nt easy. Advice? there's not advice, only live, Your Mum would not happy seeing you so sad. And she's with you and in your heart. Remember her, without tears, remember the past moments. Being outside seems easy. But I understand you very much. My best wishes for you, only Time help us to go forward. Dear Jenny.

Be happy

Always remember and keep this in your heart that your mother is still with you. It's in a different way, you just cannot see her. She still loves and want the best for you. As you get older you will learn how to adjust to not seeing her. Try to be happy for your dad that he has a special friend in his life and you should get to know her. Stay focus on school, get good grades, get involved with positive school activities. It will make you feel real good about yourself.
