Mother's Day Memories

Yesterday I woke excited that it was Mothers Day. But the memories of Mothers Day Past would not let me enjoy the beautiful day it was. Paul used to always run out to W.M early Sunday Morning and buy some last minute wilted flowers, the pedals would always fall as I put them into the vase and I would smile knowing that hubby was so busy but loved me so very much. He would spend quite some time picking out the card, not caring that it was a $1.00 or $5.00 as long as the words were right and from his heart. Later he would rent a movie and make me steak and shrimp.

Even 2 years and 5 months later there is still that pang. Thankfully most memories are good and bring a smile to my face. For all those in the firsts of grief I wish you well and want you to know that it really does get better and this is a wonderful support site in which to take it one day one step at a time...
