Mrs Janet Cooper

by Janet Cooper
(UK)

My husband died whilst walking in the street with our grown up daughter.
He suffered a massive heart attack and there was no response to attempts to revive him by our daughter or medics.
He had recently retired from work .

Who we are
by: Janet

I am very sorry for your loss Mrs. Janet Cooper. I understand the pain that you are going through and I know that this is not an easy journey for any of us.
Your name caught my attention because my name is Janet and my Great Grandfather was a Cooper. I find it strange that I should run across someone with some things in common.
I lost my husband of 25 plus years 3 months, 23 days, 10 hrs. and 13 minutes ago in Belize Central America. This road we travel is full of all kinds of emotions, pain, guilt and the list could go on. We are lucky that we have had our mate for as long as we did. I know your daughter must also be suffering. She needs you as much as you need her right now. I just know that both of you are strong people and I have never met you.
This is a wonderful site to come to and express your feelings. I have only been coming to this site for about a month but it does make a difference because we can say what we need to say here and there is always support here that we may not find in our everyday life with friends and family. We are all here for you and I hope you do come back often.
If you should just want to talk even via e-mail I am here for you. You may e-mail me at janetsellars@sbcglobal.net. May God hold you in the palm of his Hand and may you know that he is always by your side as you travel this long road called grief. Try to remember to take one breath, one step and one day at a time.

My Dad
by: Jennifer

My Dad passed unexpectedly too. He and Mom went to lunch and when they returned he sat in his chair to watch tv and had a massive heart attack. EMT's revived him, but he was declared brain dead. Five days later, we removed him from life support and he died in 4 hrs. We are still in shock and disbelief. Our lives are forever changed. I am glad that he did not suffer, but it still hurts. In a weird way, I still want to grieve because if I stop I feel that I will forget him.
