My Brother Marty

by Pam Goff

October 5th, 2005 I lost my older brother; the only person in my life that I could count on supporting me; unconditionally. He passed away at the age of 44 on the side of a beautiful mountain during a hunting trip with family surrounding him. I have mourned for my brother for almost 8 years. I think about him every single day and I miss him as much today as I did the day it happened. He was a wonderful son, brother, husband and Dad. He impacted so many lives. I will never understand why god took him so young.
Until we meet again, I love and miss you until it's painful. I'll never stop keeping your memory alive.
Your sis...

My Brother Marty

Pam I am sorry for your loss of your brother Marty 8 years ago. Grief is so painful and hard to go through. I lost my husband of 44yrs. to cancer 17 months ago today. All we can do now is go through this grief one day at a time and hope that we can heal from our loss where the pain is not so raw and assaulting.
I you know God you will see your brother again and have that reunion we all hope for. But for now life is just horribly painful to go through each day with our loss and missing the interaction of our loved one on a daily basis. I can't imagine going through 8yrs. I can't think too far ahead otherwise my grief would swallow me up. I can't believe I have gone through 17 months. I miss my husband so much that even if I do go on each day I don't enjoy life or will do ever again in the same way. Life has lost its meaning. I hope that you equally have other family members to support you and that your months ahead will get easier.
