My father - August Lageman - 1920 to 2008

by Rebecca
(York, PA)

Dad passed away on February 10, 2008.

While he was ill, I helped him as much as I could. I managed his finances and assisted with his last wishes.

Words can't describe how helpless I felt when I first saw him after he had died at the hospital. All of the machines that kept him going were turned off; the room was so quiet. He looked peaceful - of course, the pain and suffering were gone. I know I will feel better someday; but I won't rush it. He was my father and so important to me.

I miss you so much Dad!

I lost a Dad Like you
by: Anne

My Dad seems to be a very similar person to your own. Dad passed away on the 5th July 2009. I took him to hospital for a knee operation. He survived the operation but had a heart attack 36 hours later. He was born in 1921 and died 2009. I miss him terribly and I am unable to function without him; I find each passing day lonely. Hope things have improved for you as you are a year ahead of me.

Anne
