My Flower, My Son, Joseph Nicholas Taylor ( 5-13-1987/1-10-2010)

by Kimberly Ann Mays
(Greenwood, LA)

Once you were a flower, and now your stem feels bare.
No longer can it grow, if it no longer has your care.
Try and give it what you can. If only a little you can give.
A little of something is all it needs. Just enough for it to live.
Then one day, as you are able. Give your stem a little more.
Each time you give it what you can, you'll see it growing like before.
It won't be the same flower, but it will grow into something new.
The seed you planted still remains, because it grew inside of you.
Now, in heaven is this flower. The one God chose to live and grow.
A part of you is there in heaven, but his seed is the life you sow.
Although he's gone he will always live.
Someday, this seed God took from you He'll give.
You are my flower in Heaven!
You are my seed here!
I love you! Mom
