My Furever friend Samantha

by Jennifer
(Rocky Hill, CT, USA)

I recently felt it was time to put my beloved 14 year old tabby cat Samantha to rest, she was experiencing a lot of pain from cancer spreading through her body. She had trouble walking, and was giving up on eating.

I can't beleive it has been a week already. The hardest part is when I am in my parent's house where she was currently living that I so miss her presence. She was alway's there to greet you with a MEOW, where have you been? sound. One of her favorite treats was turkey, she would go crazy of you didn't give her any. She loved to cuddle and curl up on your lap and purr. Her taste in music, she preferred to listen to Jazz, I guess it relaxed her. She would travel by car in her crate to our house on Cape Cod, and didn't seem to mind going.

She just wanted to be loved by everyone and she was. Hopefully, someday we will meet again in greener pastures.

TO JENNIFER IN CT, SAMANTHA
by: ANN

JENNIFER,

I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS OF SAMANTHA. I LOVE ANIMALS. THEY ARE PART OF OUR LIVES AND JUST LIKE FAMILY, AREN'T THEY? IT WAS AN ACT OF LOVE AND KINDNESS wHAT YOU DID FOR HER. NOW SHE ISN'T
SICK. SHE'S HAPPY AND AT PEACE.

I KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO MAKE THAT DECISION. IF WE HAVE PETS, WE ALL MUST FACE THAT DECISION AT SOME POINT. I HAVE TWO DOGS, 6 CATS AND A FERRET, THREE CHILDREN AND THREE GRANDCHILDREN. WE LOST ONE 14 YEAR OLD DOG THIS PAST FALL, OCT. 2009.

I UNDERSTAND COMPLETELY WHAT YOU'RE FEELING.
REMEMBER HER FONDLY AND KEEP HER MEMORY WITH YOU. AND WHEN YOU'RE READY, PERHAPS YOU'LL FIND ANOTHER LITTLE KITTEN TO LOVE. MAY GOD BLESS AND HEAL YOUR ACHING HEART.
