My Grandma, Anne

by Megan

My grandma was perfectly healthy. She was eating dinner with my grandpa one day and said she had a headache. He said "Okay, Anne go lay on the couch and I'll clean up dinner." My grandpa and finished cleaning up and when he called her name, she did not respond. She had a Brain anurism. He called the ambulance and the doctor at the hospital said even if we saved her, she would be like a cucumber. She had no brain activity. MY grandpa called us and my dad said with tears in his eyes, "Your about to lose your grandma." Three days later on May 22,2012 , she passed away. My grandpa was holding her hand when she took her last breath. On the day of the funeral, I looked over to see my little brother crying. It broke my heart. Since then I have been a wreck. I now have one grandpa left. It's so sad not to be able to talk to them again. I didn't even get to say goodbye...

I'm Sorry

Your story is a lot like what happened to me. Actually pretty much exactly except I don't know the reason. I'm very sorry for your loss but it's comforting to know that people know what you are going through.

My Grandma, Anne

Megan I am sorry for your loss of your grandma Anne from a sudden death. I lost my husband on May 5th 2012 so we are almost in the same time frame of grief almost 10 months. It will take us all a good long time to get over our loss. But life does get easier. I don't know about better but I will settle for life to get less painful, because to live with this level of pain all the time would kill us also. The pain of grief is so very unbearable at times we wonder how we can go on in life with such sorrow every day. Death should give us some clarity of how to live our lives with those loved ones we have left in our life.
