This accident is so tragic, his 18 year old girlfriend was driving , when she got off and over corrected , the car went to the other side , she over corrected again, then a van hit them. My other Grandson Taylor age 15 , Cody's brother was in the back seat and had broke his back, his right wrist and index finger, he is recovering from back surgery , and the loss of his brother, the girlfriend that was driving, hurt her knee and is recovering well from that. We are all grieving the loss of Cody deeply, he was a varsity foot ball player, who loved the game and wanted to go into the pro's. This is so sad.

I'm so sorry about your grandson. Sometimes life is so unfair. I lost my son 13 months ago to leukemia. All I can say is that I get by one step, one breath at a time. Hugs to you.

Its so hard...
by: Cindy

Ohhhh grandma! I'm so sorry for the loss of beautiful Cody. It is so very hard to lose that wonderful abundance of love and youth when our young people are suddenly taken so tragically. I am so lost without my Dylan; he died in March of this year quite unexpectedly from a ruptured appendix, he was 27 and my only child. This journey is such a hard one but if you reach out, God is there to help you. If you can, I suggest that you and your family find a support group. Talking to those who share in your suffering will make the journey through your grief a healing experience. Many have told me that I have come such a long way in so short a time, and it is only because God showed me the way this group. I really thought that I would remain lost but I have learned how to find my way back. My heart goes out to your family, may you find peace.

Cody was only 16
