MY IRISH ROSE

by Cathy Shagina
(Anaconda)

Our wedding day

Our wedding day

When I think of this song I think of Tom, that's what he called me, his Irish Rose.

I go through the day, knowing you are not here with me, but knowing that the memories you gave me will always be one of LOVE AND LAUGHTER.

And one of Life that was a Rose, a flower that bloomed, was me, you saw a young girl, a young heart, and filled that heart with love; you showed me that loving you was where it was at.

Yyou gave meaning to all of it, you were my KNIGHT IN SHINNING ARMOR, who loved me.

I know my work has to go on and each day I will get stronger, and I know that you would still be with us if you could, what can this IRISH ROSE say to the man she lost and loved, but that God only takes the best, and it was your time to be at peace, you earned heaven Tom.

Your worked for it , and I know that you are in Jesus' arms and with Mary Kay, and Your Mom and Dad.

If I could say the words I didn't before you passed, I would kiss you and say:

I LOVE YOU BE AT PEACE MY TOM, MY SOUL MATE AND MY BEST FRIEND, YOU WERE A WONDERFUL HUSBAND, FATHER, GRANDFATHER BROTHER AND UNCLE. NOT A SAINT BUT YOU WERE LOVED. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR LIFE WITH ME HERE ON EARTH, I WOULDN'T OF TRADED ONE DAY. JUST TO HAVE ONE DAY WITH YOU AGAIN. BUT THAT I KNOW IS IMPOSSIBLE, SO WATCH OVER US AND GIVE US COURAGE AND STRENGTH BY ASKING JESUS FOR US.

LOVE YOUR FAMILY, WIFE CATHY, SON JOE AND DAUGHTER TRICIA AND TIM AND ZOE, OWEN AND LIAM AND BAILEY AND BRANDY... OH, BRANDY STILL SLEEPS ON YOUR SIDE OF THE BED ON THE FLOOR.

LOVE YOUR WILD IRISH ROSE.
