My little bug

Ah....the good life!

Ah....the good life!

My love, my son, my boo boo. That's my Buddy. A rescue from a hoarder, Bugs had never been outside of a crate. He was so scared. But it was immediate love and he and i were inseparable. Bugs went just about everywhere with me. He was so little...just 7 lbs. In our later years, he had a stroller and a front pack as his little legs were getting arthritic. He had beds everywhere in the house so he could nap wherever he wanted. He slept with me, he snuggled with me, he'd lick my toes when I got out of the shower, and he loved giving me kisses Buddy was unusually passive and submissive so he would let me hold him like a baby.

I can't even begin to describe the pain of losing him. It still seems surreal and I'm just numb. I know this will ease with time (I've lost 3 horses) but that time isn't right now.

I was able to cradle him in his blanket as he drifted off...looking deep into my eyes as he always did.

I will miss my little man every day of the Reston my life. There will never be another Bugs like him.
