My Love

by kathleen

You were the love of my life
You turned my gray skies blue.
But now that sunshine has faded to gloom.
You now are the rainbow in the sky, that turns so many colors when I cry.

I cry for you, I cry for me, life is so lonely with out my true love with me.
The joy the happiness that flowed so freely, has now come to a halt,
as the night without the summer breeze to touch my hair and face softly like a rose petal at birth.

Your gentle touch and loving smiles are now memories I long for.
But I know your spirit holds me gently while I'm still here on this earth.

I love you, I miss you someday I will hold your hand once again,
But this time it will be forever hand in hand,
Rest in peace my darling for we shall meet again!

Thanks Kathleen for sharing your poem. Your words are spot on for me too. I miss Tony soooo much and look forward to seeing him in the afterlife. Tony was easy loving, gentle and my heart and soul...I miss his touch...
