The best thing you can do for yourself is to forgive her. No one ever knows the reason someone took their own life. It is not easy to forgive but it does help. I lost a very dear friend back in the early 80's from suicide. A bunch of us had gone down to the Guadalupe River to go tubing. We all asked ourselves "Why didn't we invite Phil?" or "I thought about it but did not make the call." We never knew why nor did his daughter. They suffered the most because there is no answer to why someone would take their life. It took a long time to get over that.
God have forgiven her, so find a way in your heart to forgive her. Talk to her and keep the memories close to your heart. It does get better but just takes awhile. This is not an easy road to travel and is like a roller coaster ride.
I lost my husband Jim almost 5 months ago. It has not been an easy journey but I still love him and remember both the good times and the bad. It helps to have the wonderful memories and eases the pain some.
Grief has no expiration day. Take the time you need to heal. God Bless You. Be gentle and nurture yourself. Trust in God and he will get you through all of this one day. One breath, one step and one day at a time.
