My mom was my best friend

by Kirsten
(Missouri )

I am 13 years old and I lost my mom who has died of
Cancer. She got the cancer back in 2009 it was stage
4 colan cancer. My mom and my dad got a divorce when
I was 1 and I have always lived with my mom since. I was
Her youngest child and she had 3 counting me. The cancer
Got to her lungs and she couldn't breath well. So the last day
Of her life I was there with my older sister and brother, step dad
Grandparent and more and I held her hand as she died. She was
My best friend and I always did things with her. So now I am
Living with my dad. And I'm a girl and so I can't really talk to him
About things I did with my mom and he is a single parent to. He
Is always trying to help me but I just want to be alone. It's sad
She isn't going to be here for my prom, when I get married, and more
In my life. It feels like part of me is missing. I miss my best friend.

I'm so sorry it must be so hard for you to deal with all of that you are still way too young to handle this kind of pain, I'm 19 and i lost my daddy 3 months ago and it kills so much and I've younger twins who are 13 and i cry so much because i can only imagine how it must be for them
but i think sometimes life force us to experience things before time is right and we have to grow up a little earlier and I'm sorry for that... there were so many things i want to do with daddy and i miss him so much every single second of the day but in the end i know that I'll have to go on if it's not for me it's for him because if there is anything a parent could want for his kids is for them to be happy
so try to move on ,Be happy again ..for her and just remember that she's always there she didn't really leave .
