MY mum died 5 1/2 months ago now, i still don't think i can believe it. Mum and i were best friends, my brother died 10 years ago and my dad can be a very difficult person at times, so mum and i stuck together with everything. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer which had spread to her liver. My grandfather had the exact same cancer (her dad) and died 6 weeks after he was diagnosed. Mum had this in the back of her mind and died 5 1/2 weeks after being diagnosed.

It was such a whirlwind, after diagnosis she was taken to surgery and became very sick and in pain for the next 5 weeks. My mum was so brave, and never complained once. I literally did not let go of her hand once in the last two days as she was dying.

My whole life mum and i have dreamt about me one day getting married and giving her grandkids but without her here i honestly don't know how i am supposed to do it all without her.

Mum you are absolutely everything to me and i miss you so so much!
Love ya. xx

I recently lost my mother, my best friend and the wonderful person that I existed for. I cared for her since I was 19 yrs old and am now 37. She passed away almost 4 weeks ago and I understand how you feel, everyday gets harder and I can't imagine anything happy in my future without her being here. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Loss of a Parent
by: Down Under

Sarah, my warmest condolences on the loss of your mother. She will be watching over you, look for signs around you. Just one piece of advice is do not hide your grief, let it out, there is no time limit, take day by day. The hurt felt when a parent has passed is unexplainable! I lost my father Aug 09. I found visiting this website to be such a help, hope you do to. Wishing you well.
