My nanny my mom

by Josephine corliss
(newyork city)

I loved her so much my great grandmother raised my big sister and me, she did everything for us a grandmother could possibly do for their grandchildren and we loved her dearly she will never be replaced as far as I'm concerned. I was 10 years old when she died and my sister was 13.

i will never forget when me and my big sister were going to visit her we had to call the police to get us in the door we knocked there was no answer we knew something wasn't right nanny always answered the door. When the police arrived they open the door they got the key from the building super and there she was nanny looked like she was sleeping but she was dead she had passed away. She had went to the store, did some grocery shopping, the bags were still inside the door way she must have came in put the bags down sat down to rest and than she died. i tried to wake her but she wouldn't wake up i jumped on top of her and threw my arms around her but she just wouldn't budge, my big sister pulled me off. We both cried, we knew our nanny had finally gone and wasn't coming back.

God took her up to that heavenly place in the sky, well I'm a grandma now and i try to treat my grandchildren the same way she treated me and my big sister, we miss her so much we will always love our nanny

Loss of Nanny
by: Anonymous

I am so sorry for your loss. I never really had a grandmother. Well I had one but she was so busy raising some of her other childrens' kids she really did not have time to be a grandmother. She was too busy being a mom. I am glad that you have such fond memories of your Nanny. May she rest in peace. Brenda
