My Sweet Rhoda

by Jeannie Taylor
(Kenefic, OK.)

My husband had to take one of my dogs today 6/20/12 and have her put to sleep. I don't know why I did not go with him. She was a beautiful black and tan Lab Mix. I have been crying and upset all day and probably will be for a long while. I have lost many dogs in different ways but not like this. I don't know how to handle this. She would have a different bark when a snake came up and my husband would take care of it. The dog would be okay. She also like to play in the water. I would always spray her when it was hot and she would be just jumping up and down making mud puddles and she was as happy dog. Rest in peace sweet girl. I will see you at the Rainbow Bridge. I will dearly miss you sweetheart. I will always love you.

Jeannie - Putting a pet down is one of the hardest things to do in life. I have had to take a few in over the years but have never been able to stay because I am always such a mess when the time comes. I know you miss her so much. We lost our 5 yr. old Bulldog a month ago and I think about her every day. I have a picture of her on my computer desk and I find that it is comforting. So sorry for your loss.
