by Katy
(Arlington, VA)

Since college student grief is such a huge issue, I wanted to invite you to attend the upcoming 5th annual National Conference on College Student Grief in Raleigh on August 3-5. The conference is hosted by the National Students of AMF Support Network (www.studentsofamf.org), an organization that I am very proud to volunteer for that is dedicated to supporting and empowering grieving college students (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxgnQUIyMow). We're expecting 40-60 student leaders, faculty/staff/administrators, and advocates for these young people to join us at the National Conference from around the country. Your being located so close to this important National Conference is further reason that we hope to see you!
If you’re interested in learning about the issues that grieving college students face or developing national-, campus-, and student-level solutions, join student leaders, academics, members of the college mental health community, and other interested parties for an energizing weekend including educational seminars, networking opportunities, and grief support workshops. Go to http://2012nccsg.eventbrite.com/ to register for the conference ($60). Book your hotel room at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Brier Creek Raleigh (book under the "AMF conference" rate for $79).
