no place to hide.......

each night when i go to bed

so many thoughts swirling in my head



will there be a tomorrow?

will the pain go away?

i pray to God each and every day



to watch the one you love wither away

to see them fight for life in every way



never a complaint

never has a tear fallen from his eyes

to watch the one you love battle cancer

there is never an answer



the pain that i feel

my love that is real

i hold on to each day

there is no other way



yet my heart ...

Your poem says exactly how I feel, it's so hard sometimes to put it into words.

I lost my soulmate 6 months ago to leukemia, he fought it for 11 months and it was a hard battle. His will to live was tremendous but he just couldn't fight anymore last August.

I am totally lost without him, miss him so much, ache for him so much, some days it's unbearable.
