so many thoughts swirling in my head

will the pain go away?

i pray to God each and every day



to watch the one you love wither away

to see them fight for life in every way



never a complaint

never has a tear fallen from his eyes

to watch the one you love battle cancer

there is never an answer



the pain that i feel

my love that is real

i hold on to each day

there is no other way
