PEGGY FERRY 6/13/1937-3/16/2010

by Faith
(NJ)

My wonderful mother passed away 2 days ago. Her battle with cancer was short but brave. We first found out she had a brain tumor on 1/9/10 when her left arm stopped working. Further testing showed it was in her lungs and had probabley spread from a melonoma that had been removed in 2002. She had the gama knife procedure to remove the tumor and her arm began to work again. Chemo was going to be given to help with the cancer in her lungs. There was no cure for the cancer but it would give us more time with her. She started running a fever before the chemo could start and more tumors in her brain were found. Hospice was called and we were told that 6 months was all the time we had left with her.

Broken-hearted doesn't even begin to express how we felt. She died exactly one month after giving that final diagnosis. She was a wonderful mother and human being. She loved to cook and bake. She loved jelly beans and reading books. She loved God and her family. She would give her last dollar to anyone in need and always had a hello and a smile for everyone. I miss everything about her. She will be missed and always loved by so many.
