Remembering You on Father's Day

by Catherine

This is to my ex-husband, Freddy. He died of cancer on November 28th 2011 just two weeks after our daughter Stephanie passed away. Although we had been divorced for over 20 years, we had been brought closer through the loss of our son Stephen in 1997 and neither one of us remarried so I think we still loved each other.
It was terrible that he died so soon after Stephanie because he was not there any more so that we could comfort each other. He fought his battle with throat cancer for two years and I admired his courage and cheerfulness throughout it all. He had not been able to eat solid food for a year and a half and had a stomach tube but he still did all his favorite hobbies, electronics and computer right up to the end. He probably would have gone on longer if it had not been for the death of our lovely Stephanie.
Now I just have our youngest daughter Chrissy and I promise to stick close to her and love her for both of us.
Rest in peace. I am glad you are no longer in pain and in Heaven with our son and daughter.
Love always,

I am sorry for your loss of ex-husband Freddie, son Stephen, and daughter Stephanie.
Your eulogy was a lovely account of a very loving family. A great Loss.
I lost my husband Steve 6 weeks ago from lung cancer caused by working with asbestos. Steve was ill throughout the whole 3yrs.39days. He had no quality of life.
thank you for sharing your story and posting this.
Best wishes for the future for you and your daughter Chrissy.
