I met him while he was home
On leave from Bragg

He then deployed to Saudi
I thought i wouldnt see him again

I was wrong we wrote back and forth
he came home and we wed

we had one another for 20 years
i thought it would be longer i had no fear

ricky died in his sleep
he felt no pain
