Sally Edwards

by Sally Edwards
(Wakefield England)

My Dad died on 21st October 2009. He had Arterial Thrombus (Blocked Arteries). It was a total shock for as far as we knew he was very well. He would never go to the docs, so I am now wondering if he had any symptoms and if he would have gone for tests could anything have been done for him?

My poor Mum found him and I just can't believe I am never going to see him again. Although, I am convinced he comes to visit often. Too many things have happended since for coincidence! I just want to know that he is happy wherever he is as I know he would never have wanted to leave us. He doted on his 2 grandchildren.

TO SALLY EDWARDS LOSS OF FATHER
by: ANN

SALLY,
MY SINCERE SYMPATHY AND LOVE TO YOU. WE DO ALWAYS THINK OUR PARENTS WILL LIVE FOREVER AND ALWAYS BE YOUNG AND NEVER LEAVE US. WHEN THEY DO, WE ARE LEFT IN SHOCK, SADNESS, AND GUILT.

I LOST MY MOM IN JULY, 2009. SHE WASN'T ILL.
SHE FELT A LITTLE BAD, THREE DAYS LATER SHE PASSED FROM CANCER SHE DIDN'T KNOW SHE HAD AND WE DIDN'T EITHER. HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN? IT LEAVES YOU WONDERING WHY AND COULD YOU HAVE
CHANGED ANYTHING?

IS YOUR FATHER NEAR YOU? SPEAKING FOR MYSELF, I FEEL MOM NEAR ME AT CERTAIN TIMES. LIKE SHE KNOWS I NEED HER. I THINK YOUR FATHER WILL ALWAYS BE NEAR YOU AND WILL STILL GIVE YOU WHAT YOU NEED, BE IT GUIDENCE, HELP, OR PEACE. IT'S ESPECIALLY DIFFICULT DURING THE HOLIDAYS, WHEN FAMILIES ARE MEANT TO BE TOGETHER. HOLD ON TO THE MEMORIES YOU HAVE, AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND HEAL YOUR BROKEN SPIRIT. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU.

ED. note to Ann:
Thanks so much for your contributions, I know they are helpful and appreciated. Just to let you know, we will no longer accept and publish submissions in ALL CAPS. (In the online world, that is like SHOUTING). Thanks for understanding.

Condolences
by: Ms Horse - Australia

Hi Sally, firstly my sincere condolences on the passing of your father. The heartache felt with losing a parent cannot be explained or ever matched, I think we all believe our parents will always be there for us, always be around.

Well in some strange way they are; talk to him and ask for his guidance and do not be afraid, he is around Sally, you just need to believe and trust. They say time will make things a little easier as you remember the good times and laugh, I hope so too, as I lost my father in August 09. Wish you strength and love around you Sally.
