Samson

by G KIDD
(Nottingham England)

I was reading the article of Sandi Morgan from Philadelphia, PA, about her pet loss; well mine is pretty much the same.

I'm from the U.K; now the dog isn't mine, it's my mothers; (I live on my own like Sandi), but I grew very close to my mother's dog.

Samson had to have surgery a few years ago as his testicles were inside his stomach and had to be removed otherwise could cause cancer, this was done and after few days he was o.k.

Then a year ago we noticed a lump/spot on the side of his belly, didn't think much of it as he was full of energy, but as time went by he got more agitated/didn't like anyone touching him there, we all thought/put it down to old age (13); then recently he kept bumping into things wouldn't eat, had jaundice. Taking him into a animal clinic(PDSA), we found out he had a liver tumour, he died 5/05/10 in his sleep, and it really cuts me up/upsets me a lot.

Unfortunately it's the second dog (both I have grown up with), that has died of a tumour, the first one had a brain tumour.
