Seven years seems like forever

My brother and I were 18 months apart so naturally we were very close. He was killed in a car accident on October 23rd, 2005 at just 18 years old. At the time I was so mad and confused at why this would happen to someone like Charlie. The following day he was supposed to go meet and sign with a college football team which had been his life dream. Months after the accident certain things began to add up that now made me realize that this was no accident and it was absolutely meant to be and I have no doubt that Charlie knew it was coming. There were certain things that he did the week before that he would of normally not done that in the end helped me realize this was no accident. I am 27 years old now and not a day goes by that I don't wish he was still here to pick and argue with like brothers and sisters do but there is no doubt in my mind that he is here with me everyday! I have something very special and that's one amazing Guardian Angel.

The path of tears
by: Marie

I am so sorry for your loss. Your brother seemed prepared for eternal life it seems as things happened the week before he passed away. My 23-year old son exhibited some signs too. His friends said he was radiant and glowing the week he had a motorbyke accident. He had journals that he wrote on where he stated that he was no longer afraid of death. He had a long chat with his brother about life and death the day before he died on Nov. 17, 2012. He said that the body is just a vessel and that he is beyond that. He wrote in his last journal asking forgiveness from people whose feelings he hurt and forgave those who hurt his feelings. He meditated for at least 6 hours towards the end and seemed to find enlightenment. I believe he is in a better place than most of us alive but I do miss him terribly and feel that the loss shattered all of our lives. How can we ever be the same? This is a tough road to walk from now on and it is hard to find people who can walk with us on this path.
