Stray friend

My wife and I found a stray 3-4 week old kitten on the side of the road over 13 years ago. It had been abandoned by its mother more than likely because it was sick. A trip to the vet, a few drops of medicine with his food and he was our bundle of joy. I didn't want a cat and at first told my wife he must go. I'm so glad we kept him. He was truly a friend and loyal companion. I would work around the house and he was always at my side. People always said how lucky our cat was to be saved from certain death. My wife and I feel we are the lucky ones. He had a bad heart that got worse over a few short months. We put him to sleep before he suffered. His favorite place was playing in the garden with my wife. That is where we buried him with his favorite blanket and toys. We’ll forever remember him for changing our lives.
