Our little street cat, Sunshine, from Luanda, Angola, grew up into a beautiful, elegant black and white cat who loved a quiet cuddle, running along the hallways and surprising me it the bathtub as she played attack under the edge of the door. She built these habits early and maintained them over fourteen years as an expat cat in Africa, the USA, an the Middle East. She passed away peacefully in her sleep last night on May 3, 2014 after finally succumbing to cancer.

She was an independent soul and an affectionate friend to the end. She will be sorely missed. Namaste.

I am so sorry for your loss of your cat Sunshine. I am so glad she brought you love and happiness in the short time you had her.
Pets are for life and this is what one doesn't know, how long that life will be.? which is why we make each day count and be as happy as we are able to for those we have in our life whether pets or people. We all in life will have some uncomfortable experiences of loss and heartache as we lose those we love from our life. BUT. In time we can go on to put new pets or people in our life to continue our journey here on earth, because we were never meant to live in Isolation. We thrive better when we are surrounded by Love, Laughter, Joy and happiness that we can embrace with each other.
