Sweet Digger

My beautiful, beloved basset hound died on April 10th, 2010, only two days after my son's 17th birthday, he had been a gift from his grandparents for his 7th birthday. Digger had been diagnosed with vestibular syndrome, a neurological condition that affects balance.

We let him outside and someone accidentally left the gate open to our pool and he must have fallen in and drowned. I am just devastated, I loved him so much, he was the light of my life, so loving and gentle, just a beautiful soul, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him.

I'm in the process of making a memory garden, which is helping me a lot with the grieving process, and I also volunteered at a no-kill animal shelter, it feels good to be around other dogs.

loss of your Digger

I am so sorry to hear about how you lost Digger. I hope you can lay your burden down and remember the blessing he was to your family. I feel the pain in your words - I know you miss him. I truly believe that our spirits exist and go on - and Digger is waiting for you in Heaven.
