ted is gone

My loving husband of 30 years passed from throat cancer in 2008 at age 54. We had been separated for 20 months when he passed...if I'd known he had cancer I would have stayed and helped him through it all.

My son and daughter suffered horribly from his terminal illness and fast passing. The loss affected us all and the family suffered greatly. Three years later I am finally spending my first family Christmas with my daughter. She's finally ready to go through the sympathy cards that weren't dealt with. Is it too late to reply?

Ted is gone

I am sorry for your loss. I know it has been very difficult for you.
As for the cards please do send them and put a nice message inside. People usually understand but it will make everyone feel good that you did respond. People realize that we are not ourselves at a time like this.
My husband passed away on Nov 22nt 2009 and I still miss him but am starting to do much better.I just wish he had lived long enough to see the great granddaughter. She is 10 months old and a little sweetheart. He adored the grandchildren and gave them whatever their hearts desired. I realize that we need time and although I am doing well holidays are the worst.
God bless you and keep posting. We are here for you. Mari
