The Angel Josette

by Joe Parks
(Los Angeles)

Long time ago on a sacred isle
Grey skies had parted blue skies did smile
Little did I know who it was I just met
But the girl of my dreams the angel Josette

Simple and barefoot she stood in the sun
My hand in hers our love had begun
My heart filled with joy a new course was set
I would travel through time with the angel Josette

A match made in heaven was how it did seem
Reflecting back now t'was more like a dream
A decision was made I'll never regret
I'll share my life with the angel Josette

The years passed by us one after one
Then we were blessed with a daughter and son
Fulfilled and content my sails were now set
For this voyage of love with the angel Josette

We kept sailing on as the decades flew by
Fair wind behind us always blue sky
Good luck a'plenty and fish in our net
My love only grew for the angel Josette

Then one day it happened the weather now grew
The sky was on fire no longer blue
The storm was upon us all eyes were wet
And then she was gone the angel Josette

My boat is adrift now tears fill my wake
The pain that I feel more than one man can take
Theres one thing thats left and I'll never forget
The great love I have for the angel Josette

Your poem about the Angel Josette is really very beautiful and obviously inspired by great love.

Love never ever dies. Souls never ever die. I hope you remain brave for your children and carry on until your turn comes and you can then reunited.

The kind of love between two humans, as you described, is a great gift from God. I also had a fabulous partner for 30 years. We are the lucky ones. We are here to show God that we are worthy of Him. He sees our works NOW while we are on this planet. I intend to honour God and do as much good as I can while I'm still here.

Be strong.
