The loss of an angel

My mother was truly one of a kind. Loving, giving, sensitive and truly caring in every way, she transcended the perameters one applies to motherhood.
She gave of herself at every moment, and as is the case with many people who are pure of heart, was taken advantage of to an awful extent.
Her love, care and generosity will always be remembered- sometimes I feel that she wouldn't approve of all of the decisions I have made in my life...nevertheless I can talk to her when I need to. About 6 years have gone by since she passed away, still her beautiful, fun and caring spirit, passion for life and looking after those around her will always live on, in every day and in every way.
Thank you mum and I hope you and your sister are having a good laugh and arguing about who is going to pay for tea. The sunlight is the gift that you gave...

The loss of an angel

I am sorry for your loss of your mom 6 yrs. ago. Your grief is still around otherwise you wouldn't have written here about it.
You sound as if you are feeling guilty about your mom not having liked some of the decisions you have made in your life.
What mom does agree with every decision or CHOICE'S their children has made? This is all part of life. I have 3 children. My son has done everything to irritate me and I have not loved him any less. There is nothing he could do to make me NOT love him. He was a hard kid to love as he was a REBEL. He is now 44yrs. Middle daughter near perfect. Youngest daughter 32yrs. has got her first 4 tattoo's. Do I approve? NO. But she always wanted to do this and her Dad died 11 months ago and she had this done secretly. I didn't object. She is her own person and I have to respect this. She thought her Dad may not approve. But I think he would have loved her tattoo roses and leopard.
Try and lose your guilt over whether your mom would have approved of your decisions. Mom's usually Do love their children regardless.
