The person who was never supposed to give up...

by Sommer
(AZ)

I don't think the story matters. It's all the same in the end, we were left by the person we love. But the reason it hurts so much is because they were the one person in the world who was not supposed to ever give up on us...and they did.

I think she is talking about a break-up

Your short comment is right on. It has been a month since my spouse of 22 years told me she was leaving. Don't think I'll every get over it.

Sommer, Your Voice, Your Story, DOES matter.

they don't give up....
by: sue

I am so sorry that you feel they give up...maybe they are just gived out. Life is still a mystery and death is even more, "if only" seems to be my way of thinkg..if only he ate better, if only he stopped smoking .... if only....this was to be our golden years, retirement, easy living....my Allen couldn't wait ...well now he is retired to heaven and enjoying what he loves fishing..seeing his loved ones..looking down, and wanting me to buckle up and go on...

no choice in giving up
by: Judith

Oh Sommer, please rethink what you said because when someone dies they have no choice. They don't give up on the ones they love. Suicide is the way one gives up and even then they are hurting so much they don't realize how much pain it will cause for the ones they leave behind.

My husband did not give up on me, he died after a long battle with Parkinson's.

I know in your pain you may think that but it is farthest from the truth.

God bring peace to you.
