the smell of honey

by Monta Cielava
(Cesis, Latvia)

she was born in snowy morning
opened her eyes for the world
and just like world was she
tightly wraped in handkerchief

small tenacious ladybird
can tilt a heavy flower
just like she can anytime
tilt her head for mother

what happens when you let
the boat flow away
without paddles in river fast

what happens when you let
the dove fly away
taking part of the past

how she finds the way home
how she stands up and go
if her heart beats so loud
when doors is close and she`s alone

she will go in Spring like ice
when it`s nice and sunny
she will leave the smell of honey
