The Unshed Tear

by L.D.
(Winnipeg, MB Canada)

Too deep within my heart
To flow upon my face
My little problem lies
Way beneath this place

My tears are hidden so deep
I bet they'll never show
Is it bad or is it good
That they will never know

My problems very few
My problems pretty petty
My fears beneath this surface
Although are very plenty

The unshed tear is one of mine
But for the world on end
The unshed tear shall never fall
Never to descend

To lie is to feel safe
Into this world that is so fake
Unshed tear will never fall
I will not forsake.
