This dove to me

by W. T. B.
(Hellertown pa. U.S.A.)

Amazingly yet, my heart you tear
Thoughts of you, so much to bear.
Now and then, a dove to me,
No voice to hear, no face to see,
Does god control your every flight,
Or just to me within my sight,
If only wings I could sprout,
And fly with you to whereabout
To spend with you at very best
Some precious time within your nest.
