Valerie(Mom) 1955-1999

by Miranda
(Beaver, OH)

My mom was an amazing woman. She was always upbeat and full of life. She was diagnosed with lupus when she was 19. She had to live in pain for the biggest part of her life but never once did she question, why her? She accepted it as her lot in life just as she accepted God in her life.

She got progressively worse over the years as the lupus started affecting her organs. The doctors once asked her how good she would like to feel and she simply said that she would like to breathe good enough to clean her own home.

She knew that her time was near when she told us that we must let her go, because she was tired of fighting and was ready to go home with Jesus. So my life was forever changed on May 31st 1999.

I miss her so much but I know that she is finally happy and healthy.
