We will miss you, Harry!

It was a normal, peaceful morning, 12. august, 2012. My budgie was sick, we took him and we warmed him up, because he was freezing.
After 2 hours, he turned his head and shouted 3 shouts and passed.
I cried heavily, i hugged my mom and cryed, cryed and cryed.
I am still crying and cant handle it.
He was cute, we had so much fun, he was happy and now he passed.
We will miss you, Harry! :(

Birds are God's gift to us.
by: Kathy

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my Baby Girl on Oct. 18,2012. Most people say, "it's just a bird!" We know better than that. They have personalities and full of love and trust.
I know we will see them again.
Take care.

We will miss you, Harry!

Tomijs Endzelis, I am sorry for your loss of your pet budgie. I had a birdcage with 9 birds. All Cockatiels. My favourite birds. Each had a different personality. I loved these little darlings. It hurt badly when the first one flew out of the birdcage, then another one went. One of the babies flew away. I was just ready to give the birds to someone with an outdoor and indoor aviary when one of my prize albino birds flew out of the cage. I thought I would die of grief. This bird was one of a pair and his mate was heartbroken and was calling out for him often. the birds have gone to a better environment. I am happy for this. BUT I MISS THEM LIKE EVER. They were the best darling pets I could wish for. I am a 60 year old woman and if I can cry and cry and cry it is because I LOVED THEM.
Crying is part of your grief. I also one time nursed a lovebird. He died in my hands. I was heartbroken then also. Now I won't keep birds because the pain is too bad. I instead feed over 50 birds that come into my garden each morning. I give them breakfast. Wish I was rich enough to feed them 3 times a day. My grief is only made better when I am in the presence of BIRDS. I hope that you will feel better in the days ahead and realize that it is O.K. to cry and cry. If you are brave. Get more birds. You will have a very rewarding experience with each one. But be prepared for heartbreak. There will be good times and bad times. Enjoy the journey with your birds.
