Which way is Up!

Our son was either killed or commented suicide, their was not an investigation done at the scene. They(Campus cops, city cops and sheriffs) assumed the other agency was completing the investigation. We were not allowed to see our son until 3 days later. I went to the sheriffs office when I was told about the screw up, that day.
My son's wife told us for the grand kids we were going to say he fell. We agreed that night of his death, to protect the grand kids. I tried to go to the sheriffs department 4 days later to request the case being opened and investigated completed right, when I received a phone call in route 100 miles from my house, telling me to stop or we would never see our grand kids again, son's wife. Here we are living with this not knowing and not being able to tell our families our other siblings or our friends. This adds to our night mare, we have lost our son, bad enough then add that he did not die by accident, he died murder or suicide. There was some things in their apartment that did not make sense, a strange jacket, 2 shakes on the counter( our son didn't like shakes), the back sliding glass door not having the board in the grove (they kept in because of the kids). Well here we are 3 years 2 months later and still don't know, can't talk about it.

His wife remarried, his kids we don't get to see much, his kids are great. But we are struggling. Life has become a horror show, we wake up every day with the same thing and every night. I am so worried about my wife, I don't know which way to turn.
