You live in me

by fern louise davies

When God took you home
on that cold december day,
He took the very best part of me away,
He needed and angel so it seemed,
I need you here with me
because I miss your love so much,
It's hard for me to tell you I love you
as I'm standing over you grave
when I know I'll never hear your voice again,
When he took your love from me
I fell to my knees
I didn't think I'd get back that part of me,
As I grow I realised
you was never gone
you was very much alive,
You live within me in a very similar way,
so in till that day we meet again
I hope I make you proud in every single way
I'll hold our love  and the memories we made
so very close to my heart
that will once beat again
in that rhythm that no one could ever change.
