My son Timothy was 19 years old, When he decided to commit suicide. He was a kind hearted young man, he was my first born son. He was born may 29th of 1998 in a thunder storm he was 8lbs 13 ounces. My son had a wonderful sense of humor he would joke and make others laugh when ever given the chance. He showed no signs of wanting to die.

Today 6 months ago is the last time I saw my son alive. he was joking with me and being his usual self. He left to go to a friends house is what he told me.

Timothy loved fishing, going out to camp, going mudding and four wheeling. Timothy loved his family his friends, his pets Meg, and April both black labs, April passed away on march 2nd 10 days before timothy, she was his dog. I have his cat perch with me.

Timothy is forever missed and loved dearly.

My beloved husband
by: Sara Clow

My beloved husband completed his suicide on February 21, 2018 with no warning signs and with me in the same house. We were together for 32 1/2 years. He suffered in silence (or so he thought) for most his life with trauma from his childhood of abuse, military, law enforcement and years of self-abuse with alcohol. I could not love him enough to eliminate the demons that eventually took control of him and made him come in that morning, take my face, kiss my forehead and walk into the next room and shoot himself.

The path of sadness that suicide leaves behind is horrendous. His sons and I love him, forgive him, honor who he was as a man and how he lived. We miss him every single day and wish so much that we could have made him better - we really wish he would have known that. Mental illness is real and those that make this decision feel helpless.

Your son was precious - way too young - my heart breaks for you, your family and for all of us that are in this "club" that we never wanted to belong to. Strength, courage, grace & dignity to all of us!

shared grief
by: Leah

My only son was 22 when he committed suicide in 2006. He was also the joking, smiling one in every group. He was my best friend. I think of it as "God let me have his child for 22 years to love and hold until he brought his child home. God spared him from something unknown to me." I will love and miss him always and look forward to seeing him in heaven. My heart is with you. This is so fresh for you and your family.

Praying for comfort
by: Anonymous

My heart goes out to you. He was a handsome young man. I still struggle with the loss of my 36 year old son who we lost July of 2016 to multiple drugs. Everyday I ask "why?". He was found in a transient camp and was all alone but God was there to take him home and I know he is with God now and free from pain and addiction. I pray for you and me to rest in Gods will and surrender our very deep grief to God. He is our comforter. He loves our sons and us more than we can even imagine and some day we'll be reunited with them.I'm so sorry for your loss.
