New Year's Eve 2016

by Walter T. Brzezinski
(Hellertown Pa. USA)

I know you('re gone, just want to believe,

To feel your presence, on New Years Eve,

So the very best that I can do,

Is to find a way , to converse with you,

Just listen to my pen, as if you were here,

My words to you, while shedding a tear,

The pleasures I have, to reminisce,

Those tender moments, the midnight kiss,

The strange belief, with herring and wine,

Seeking good fortune, as we sat to dine,

I guess it worked, I never knew how,

With you and Gods help, I know better. Now.

Response: Thanks Viickie

Never, I thought to be,
Never, myself with poetry,
Never, with pen on empty page,
Never, in my golden age,
Never as I reach down deep,
Never, to write, as I weep,
Never, with tender words to rhyme,
Never, as I seek, more precious time,
Never, as mail, to heaven's gate,
Never, till a love you lost, or cherished mate.

Thanks again Vickie.

Touching Words...
by: Vickie

Walter, what beautiful words. I hope that you find some comfort in knowing that your loved one is at Peace. I imagine she must have known your love for her while she was here. Your Poem is written with much love and emotion. She is and always will be with you.

God bless you.
