We rescued Ruby when she was just 10 weeks old. She was a Staffordshire Terrier mix. She loved everything and everyone. Out family only went to malls where she was allowed, restaurants where she was welcome, and vacations that included her. My husband lost his job, and she got him through the worst depression of his life. He says the walks to the beach saved him and kept his mind clear, until he found work again. She taught us all how to love, bringing us her “baby” every time we walked in the door. She would lay and kiss my sons’ faces until they were raw. She loved “bye-bye”’s and looking at Christmas lights with us. She died at just 9 1/2 years of liver mass hemmoraging, a complication of Cushings disease. It has been 3 months and I miss her more than before. It’s gwttig worse, not better....and I am broken and lost without her. My 23 year old son says he’ can’t pull out of it either and I’m trying to be strong for him. We all miss her so so much. My husband says he misses her more than family members that have passed. Me too..
